Functional characteristics | |
Wound care: | It can be used for the care of various wounds, such as incisions, abrasions, cuts, burns, ulcers, etc. after surgery. It can protect the wound from external pollution, absorb the liquid exuded from the wound, keep the wound dry, and promote wound healing. |
Fixation: | It can adhere firmly to the skin and is used to fix dressings and medical devices, such as sphygmomanometers, electrocardiogram electrodes, etc., to ensure that these devices remain in the correct position during use and do not shift or fall off. |
Waterproof and antibacterial: | Some zinc oxide tapes are added with waterproof and antibacterial materials, such as polyurethane material layers and antibacterial film material layers, which can prevent moisture from entering the wound, reduce the risk of bacterial infection, and create a good environment for wound healing. |
Good air permeability: | Some zinc oxide tapes are equipped with air holes at various levels such as the base layer and the antibacterial film material layer, so that the tape has good air permeability, which can prevent the large-scale reproduction of anaerobic organisms in the wound due to poor air permeability. |
How to use |
Cleaning the skin: Before use, clean the skin area to be pasted to ensure that there is no grease, dirt and moisture to enhance the stickiness of the tape and reduce skin irritation. |
Peeling off the protective film: Take the medical tape out of the package and carefully peel off the protective film. |
Paste the tape: Paste the tape on the part that needs to be fixed or cared for, ensure that it is firmly pasted, correctly positioned, and flat, and avoid excessive stretching or folding to avoid damage to the skin. |
Press to fix: After pasting, press the tape gently with your fingers to make it fit tightly with the skin to ensure the fixing effect. |
Remove the tape: When the tape is no longer needed, it should be peeled off carefully to avoid pulling the skin. The edge of the tape can be moistened with warm water or saline to reduce its stickiness and make it easier to remove. |
